You’re sitting back and thinking
About what and where went wrong
Has she been seeing someone else
While it hasn’t been that long

Everything just came to fall apart
Why, was it her or you?
You’re sitting back and thinkin
About the things you could undo

She told you that she loved you
Could it have been a lie?
You promised you’d take care of her
And never make her cry

But she’d been crying much of late
She was a total mess
You said that things will be ok
And pressed her against your chest

Now you’re sitting there and getting high
On the remembrance of her smile,
Her precious face, her heady smell
Her matchless pleasant style

And you’re sitting there pretending
She’s always by your side
While she keeps drifting far away
Away goes your joy and pride

Now does she even think of you
Or does she regret the past
Has she fallen out of love
Has she moved on this fast?

Does she stay up and think all night
about the sweet days that you had
Does she even miss you
Should she be half as sad?

You thought you’d shake off thoughts of her
But they keep on coming back
Can it simply all be over?It’s way too hard to face the fact
